Creativity is a shared goal by many fields and it is still rather unknown in its essence, its development is therefore not always complete and it is easily inhibited. Based on research started in 1986 and as part of a new project founded by the Department for Research and Development of the University of Chile this paper aims at making a brief summary of some concepts which now a days are somehow accepted, clearing up some dilemma about creativity which are usually approached in a rather unfavorable fashion.
