Abstract

We currently live in a positive society, characterized by complacency, immediacy and consumerism; a visual city; exposed to constant images and information. Phenomenon that can be reflected in the conduct of life habits in 21st century departments, where contemporary aesthetics is more specifically seen. These reflections will be associated with attributes of intimacy; concept understood from the aesthetics of living; since they belong to affective and subjective values from intimate spaces, which become poetic images, often lost in favor of visual dominance. The article does not carry out a destructive critique of the concept of department, and it assumes the whirlpool of these typologies with reflection, to recognize their potentialities through the understanding of intimacy, from its abstract to its materialization in architectural elements, which many times are far from the responses of the contemporary city.
