The aim of this paper is to defend the need to change the way of teaching the history of literature. To do this, we start from the premise that such a change must be generated as early as in the teacher training. Thus, we show, first, an anthropological (in both meanings –“holistic” and “human”) conception of literature, based on the concept of “context of production” and, secondly, we offer a teaching experience with undergraduate students from a Spanish university, where we decided to test the template of literary analysis, in general, with great results.
